Hi, I’m Bella — a designer and flower preservationist who’s all about making meaningful connections. I was born in the Philippines and moved to Los Angeles with my family during my tweenage years. College took me to Hawaii but the pull of family brought me back to California. During a break from formal education, I stumbled on some hidden leaves pressed between some dusty books. This curiosity bloomed into a full-on flower preservation business, Petal Haus.
An academic siesta turned into my most significant passion project!

That wasn’t enough for me though. Driven by the desire to expand Petal Haus, I woke up to the decision to return to school. As the eldest sibling, I’ve always felt a sense of responsibility to be a good role model (not always effective), so my early twenties were a whirlwind of self-discovery, filled with soul-searching and job-hopping. One of my most intriguing experiences, believe it or not, was driving for Uber. You wouldn’t believe some of the stories I’ve heard — diving into the inner worlds of passengers from all walks of life (tourists or locals, drunk or sober, loud or quiet) was like decoding a secret language. And yes, “taxicab confessions” are very real.

This knack for connecting with others seamlessly weaves its way into work. Every project I take on becomes an opportunity to tell one-of-a-kind stories and bring distinct personalities to life through visual design and brand identity. When I’m not getting lost in pixels or petals, you’ll find me wandering the great outdoors, whether it’s pounding the pavement on a run, hiking up a scenic trail, or camping under the stars. Looking ahead, my practice is centered around storytelling to create compelling brand visuals, packaging, and social graphics.
